 Brief History

I've been taking photographs since I was a teenager. My friends and I had fun with trick photography, you know, where the car looks like it's sitting on your hand. Anyway, as I learned how much I truly love photography, I've taken several courses, both in college and on the web to develop my skills. I have recently graduated from the New York Institute of Photography. I continue to educate myself in this field. You can never learn enough, especially in the fast changing medium of  PHOTOGRAPHY.

I've worked as a staff photographer at a local newspaper, and learned how to run a darkroom. I've published my own tabloid and magazine, and shot photos for them. I've joined community clubs, placed myself under organizations such as Professional Photographers of America, Photographic Society of America, to name a few. I've shot weddings, social, and news events, but nothing seems to satisfy me as capturing a bit of AMERICANA and the purity of NATURE. 

There are special times when the world seems to put forth a great moment of beauty and inspiration. Once in a while, I'm privileged to witness this event and capture it on film. Occasionally, the results obtained are worthy of sharing with others. Too often in our busy lives we forget to "look and feel" our surroundings. As I try to shut out the "noise" of our fast paced society - my focus (and hopefully my camera) will tune into the Creative handiwork of our Heavenly Father.  When you see my PORTRAITS I hope you gain a sense value for the scene and a feel the moment in time when the photograph was taken.
