Bio



Barbara Scott, a Hampton resident for over 30 years, has been involved in photography since she was a teenager. She is experienced in wedding photography, photo journalism, photo documentation, advertising, darkroom, and her greatest love, nature photography.  She shoots both 35mm film and digital. Additionally, Barbara has over 22 years experience in the printing industry as a professional typesetter (desktop publishing, page layout and design) and in the quick copy business.

A graduate from the New York Institute of Photography, her training and education are varied, from classes taken at Gordon College, to community and online classes. She believes that you can never learn enough, especially in the fast changing medium of Photography.

She’s been a member of professional organizations such as Professional Photographers of America, Georgia Nature Photographers, and Photographic Society of America.  She is also involved in several community art groups.

Barbara has enjoyed participating in Fine Arts shows, including Fayetteville Fine Arts Festival, Art at the Depot in Hampton, Arty Gras in McDonough,  and other events. Barbara and her husband, Gary, have been married for over 23 years, and are parents to 3 sons and a daughter. She is active in both church and community.
